starting over

Its been awhile, but after endless computer, telephone (and therefore internet), modem and a lost camera problems, this is an attempt to resurrect my blog. Still dont have a camera, but have managed to borrow one in the meantime.

This was a quick early morning project before the heat of the day immobilized us all:

It never ceases to fill me with wonder how the brown dry garden turns green overnight after the first autumn rains in the Cape. Here are some of the flowers that have started to show their winter colours.

The pottery teacher suggested this - making a special place in the garden for all the pottery offerings that come home. There is simply NO space left on the shelf for three years worth of production! The girls had such fun putting it all together -but of course we have had to cordon it off to stop the dogs tearing through. Will have to see how it weathers the winter rains...
