all buttoned up
Robs and I worked on this together as a thank you present for her teacher. I fiddled forever till the penny dropped and I worked out the quick and easy way to do this, so there will now be many more made...

It all started with this lovely magnetic calendar I found at Hallmark. Sew 24 stockings out of brown paper bags and cut out.
Cut out lots of various green and red squares

green with envy 2
More pics of our dinner (see yesterdays post). These silver goblets i filled with green foliage and chryssies, and sprayed some wheat and twigs silver to match.
Hurricane lamp filled with silver and green baubles
These were green beaded serviette rings which I placed around the candles on the centre piece to add a dash of green
The goblets from above.

green with envy
I made these serviette rings while Robs was doing her karate grading(!): started with a lime green bow, then tied on a silver dangle (leaf, crystal, star) and hot glue gunned it onto a feather and cardboard ring.
My acquisition this Christmas: cheap and cheerful candelabra!
These are the table decorations I did for our annual Christmas party with the Bloms. I found a really cheap but shiny lime green fabric which I cut in half, hemmed and joined end to end to make a table runner; then dug out all my silver decorations and added a touch of lime green. Silver stars and green pebbles added the finishing touches!

cat in the kennel
I bought this kennel for the dogs to keep them dry in the rain -they REFUSE to set foot inside but Fatcat is very happy...
in the bag
The boys keep losing their expensive school swimming bags so I whipped these up with some quantex I have had forever. Was so pleased to even find a toggle for it. No guarantee they wont loose these too though!!

in a twist
Robs' class needed someone to sew tie-backs for their curtains, but I thought it would be more fun for the girls to make something themselves. I got them all to thread a string with beads, petals and straws and then plaited them into sets of three. So cheerful..
something up my sleeve
I have been inspired by everyone's ideas to reuse and recycle so we cut off the sleeves of all the winter long-sleeved t-shirts and converted them into short-sleeved shirts to extend the life-span of Robs favourite shirts for summer . The pink flower was made from the cut-off sleeve of the pink shirt! Pretty nifty..

This small disappearing 9-patch quilt was to try out my machine quilting skills -and although i think I broke every rule in the book, the Bears don't seem to mind!
